I kept wishing I could point it at *my own* collection — private payloads, stuff that's not on any public repo, things I want to keep for myself across reinstalls.\n\nSo I built **pldmgr-selfhost**: a tiny server that runs on your LAN and serves a folder as a custom pldmgr source.\n\n**What it does**\n\n- 📂 **Drop folder**: any .elf / .bin / .lua you put in payloads/ shows up on your console instantly — subfolders become categories/organization\n- 🔐 **Automatic SHA-256 checksums** for every file, so the console verifies downloads\n- 🐙 **GitHub auto-mirror**: list repos + release asset patterns in github_sources.json and it pulls new payloads from GitHub releases automatically (hourly, or on-demand via POST /refresh)\n- 🐳 **Docker image published** (ghcr.io/bryanmoon19/pldmgr-selfhost:latest) or run it with bare Python — it's a single file, **zero dependencies**, stdlib only (Python 3.10+)\n- 🛡️ Hardened: file serving is restricted to the payloads directory (path-traversal and symlink attempts blocked — I adversarially tested it before release)\n\n**What it doesn't do**\n\n- It doesn't jailbreak the console — you need a working jailbreak (and Payload Manager installed) first.\n- It doesn't ship payloads — no binaries, nothing preloaded. It's just the server; your collection stays yours.\n- It's not a public mirror — if you want the community repos, use the official sources. This is for *your* files.\n\n**Setup is 3 steps**\n\n1. Start the container (one copy-paste block in the README)\n2. Drop payload files in the folder\n3. In Payload Manager → Cloud Repository → add http://<your-pc-ip>:8090/payloads.json\n\nThe catalog rebuilds on every request, so there's no refresh/cache to think about — new files just appear. Plain HTTP on purpose, because of the SSL quirks we all know about.\n\n**Important**\n\n- **Keep it on your LAN** — don't port-forward it. It's unauthenticated by design (home network only).\n- **Not affiliated with itsPLK** — I just implemented their public custom-repository spec. Big thanks to them for documenting it.\n- **Yes, I built this with AI assistance** — and I'd rather say it upfront than have someone dig through the commits. That said, I don't think it's a case of \"vibe-coded and yeeted\": the whole server is one ~200-line stdlib-only Python file you can read in five minutes, it was adversarially security-tested before release (path traversal, encoding tricks, symlinks — all blocked), and it's MIT licensed so you can verify every line yourself. My question is, would I be able to play these online? I'm assuming you still have split screen so I could play zombies, but I would think that I couldn't play BF6 or COD online anymore is that correct?  \nI own some COD games and BF6 physically, I more want the jailbreak for ps2 and ps3 games being able to run, and possibly installing linux IF dual booting is possible.\n\nI would assume if I did run linux, it would be like a normal PC and I could play online (obviously not the games i listed cause anti-cheat) but I would also think that game performance is much much worse. No problem with using code thats credited as most have done, just the non-credited clones.\n\nNew Nuvio PS5 build is up:\n\n[https://github.com/theghostonline/Nuvio-PS5/releases/tag/v1.8.0](https://github.com/theghostonline/Nuvio-PS5/releases/tag/v1.8.0)\n\nThanks to a suggestion from u/Distinct-Vegetable64 : you only send the payload once now, to install. After that Nuvio opens straight from the home screen like any other app, after a reboot too. The app carries its own service and starts it itself, so there's nothing to autoload.\n\nChanges in new build:\n\n\\- No payload needed after the first install. It uses your ELF loader on 9021, or Payload Manager if that's what you run\n\n\\- Fixed the white screen some of you got after watching an episode, where you had to send the payload again to get Nuvio back. It brings itself back now, and your Continue Watching spot is kept\n\n\\- Search works properly. X on the search box brings the keyboard up every time, and results show up as you type instead of only after you leave the box\n\n\\- 4K films in widescreen were showing as 1440p in the player, they say 4K now\n\n\\- If you don't want to send anything at all? There's a PPSA99176.zip in the release, copy that folder to /data/homebrew over FTP\n\nUpdating from 1.7: send the new nuvio-ps5.elf once and it updates as soon as Nuvio's closed. If you had it in your autoload list, take it out or swap in the new one, an old copy would put the old app back on every boot.\n\nNext thing I'm working on is making the menus smoother by creating a native UI, I know they're slow in places on the PS5. Tested on 13.60.
