I understand when it comes to not being satisfied with something and replacing it, but buying sh\\*&$tloads of ARM chip devices that act the same and just brag about them is an illness, I'm sorry for such rude post but I'm genuinely curious how many people here actually enjoy playing on their handheld. OK. this time I'm gonna extend my thoughts, see I want to see what you guys think and whether it's just karma farming or genuine overconsumption, I myself stick to psp and old raspberry pi for tinkering and it's enough for me, what is your setup and what do you think of this overconsumption of handhelds?? I think the games are the same everywhere just different performance, same goes with UI, I don't see personally a reason to buy more than 2-3 devices since they all act the same, these soulless PCBs in printed shells have nothing to offer besides better performance when comparing SOCs. it got announced I was expecting it to be around the size of PS Vita or at least slightly bigger but when it came out and people do comparisons it basically went from a small hand held to a medium sized handheld like the retroid pocket 5.\n\nI wished we could have gotten more Smaller 16:09 handhelds though the closes thing we for for android is the Retroid Pocket flip 2 since it's a clam Shell.\n\nIt's also weird how the joy sticks aren't more inset since there's plenty of space on the sides to make it more natural and more comfortable to The file is from Retroid and the update went smoothly. When I restart the device following what the system told me to after the update is done, the device didn't boot up. It has remained that way no matter what I did. I follow some instructions online and nothing works, these are some of the things I tried.  \n\n  \n\n1.) Tried holding power button for 30 seconds or more. (Some times it vibrates but didn't boot up)  \n\n2.) Press and hold power button with volume up.  \n\n3.) Press and hold power button with volume down.\n\n4.) Leave it to charge overnight. (The started the update at 96% so I don't think the battery is totally drained from that short update time)\n\nHopefully I can get some help here, I have contacted Retroid also. Really disappointed that it just bricked itself when I just doing an update. But such a small, uncommon aspect ratio and lower-res display on a powerfull and giant body looks really weird to me. 3DS games can look the same, if not better, on a 5.5 inch FHD screen. You can do integer scaling and they are the same size (see my previous post). Or you can totally make the 3DS top screen just bigger to reach top and bottom of the display without using integer scaling and it'll look gorgeous on the higher res and bigger screen. What's more importantly it'll feel so much better for Switch, PC, and Android ports gaming, which you will definitely want with such a powerful Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 chipset inside the DDS. If anything this should confirm it should cost *at least* $250.\n\nIt doesn't matter if the standard Duo has dual OLED for $270, it doesn't change the fact it still packs a processor that's a lot closer to the Snapdragon 865 from the Pocket 5 than the 8 Gen 2 in the Pocket 6.\n\nI like cheap handhelds too, but these price predictions are so weird to Ghost touches that was a manufacturer issue. I had it sent to a repair shop to see if by any chance, I could still salvage it but the short answer is no. Now luckily for me, I was able to contact my bank and get my money back and I'll be picking it up from the shop next week but what do I do with it now? \n\nThe guy at the shop suggested that I could possibly use it strictly docked where the screen isn't on but that kinda defeats the purpose so should I sell it and just state that it's defective? Prior to that we only had wireless adapter emulation which also allowed... Pokemon trading... \n\n**As of this post, I've only found dArkOS and Rocknix with gpSP 1.1.0,** and the Core Options menu gives 3 link cable emulation modes: Pokemon mode, Advance Wars 1 mode, and Advance Wars 2 mode. and **I'd like to test out how well it works with local netplay.**\n\nNow I'm a bit more interested in something like Kirby, Apotris, Mario Bros. arcade or maybe Puzzle League. So I went out to try it out. **Neither Kirby game worked.**\n\n# A little bit of rabbit hole\n\nBut **Russ's video also showed more action-oriented games like F-Zero Maximum Velocity and Final Fight ONE. The former has delays. One RGSP would basically run 2 GBA instances, with a lockstep link driver. It also acted as a WiFi hotspot.\n2. The two handhelds would sync, somehow, with button presses and status updates.\n\nAnd that's confirmed in Russ's comment section by SLOT developer himself.\n\nHonestly, that is kind of genius, AI assisted or not. I can understand why he isn't going to make this feature work outside SLOT. **TL;DR: SLOT somehow made mGBA link cable netplay work, but only in SLOT.** \n\nBut I do wonder why such a thing can't be supported by RetroArch itself, however janky it turns out to be.
