Mine also doesn't have the fairing.  I paid $6k for mine and I feel like I stole it.  That said value is in the eye of the beholder.  To me that bike is $6-8k just because its a shovel.  To alot of guys that is a $3-5k bike because its \"old\".  \n\nFix it up and ride it.  Mine rides like a dream.  Cruises at 80mph like it's nothing.
