In my opinion, I will recommend Margin Edge over Xtrachef as it has everything with simpler user interface, easy to use and has a great analytical report. Xtrachef is also a nice tool for restaurants and does everything. Very difficult to set up and train and I don’t understand why they would allow everyone who has the login info be able to view all your labor/ sales/ cost and profit data. Maybe for big chain but we are only a few locations and i don’t feel comfortable letting the kitchen or foh staff who are doing inventory count be able to see all my data.
