This is what the government should be looking into created, helping people and keeping the opioids or alkaloids that are way less risky and can be used to get off worse stuff, then helping them get off those and back to living, they could still even be allowed to use some other government approved substitution like a better SR or chlorphine that they could use if they 100% will continue to use, better they use only that and continue to be monitored with UA analysis so they can't use other worse stuff that pops up this day and age. \n\nRegulation and transparency is needed in these products, and the few that were banned could of actually been used by pharma/medical industry to treat opioid dependency... Some of these “helpers” might make it less intense or shorten it but you will feel shitty for at least 2 days with any helper. Subs take time to work and probably won’t start sticking to receptors for about 2-3 days. I have heard mixed things about SR. Some people say it works and others say it doesn’t. Some people claim megadosing Vit C helps and some say it doesn’t. It really is a crap shoot. I can tell you one thing I def would not switch to fent to get off of it. That is a good and quick way to OD in my opinion. You might just want to suck it up and go through it or go to detox. \n\nI am currently doing the Bernese Method with subs and I am currently not feeling great but better than cold turkey. I have some clonidine, baclofen, and some kpins to make it through the first couple of days until the subs start to take hold. I plan on going to work and went today. It wasn’t a lot of fun but it was good to be up and moving around so I wasn’t thinking as much about how I was feeling and how much longer I would feel this way. \n\nIf you use SR the best way to do it is to preload SR and increase the amount for about 3 days while decreasing your CC doses and then make the jump. Do not take SR for more than 10 days or you will wd from that. So best is to start tapering down your doses from day 5 or 6 to day 8-10. If you can get some benzos that would help a ton.\n\nGood luck! Please don’t switch to fent. It is mostly mental. Freaking out about being sick before being sick makes it worse. You are stronger than you think. Treat it like having the flu and get as many helper meds you can get your hands on.
