Live off 92nd and Ashworth, been in the area for 4 years. Overall I'd say the neighborhood is safe though package/ car theft and damage is a risk. In the time I've lived here had 2 packages stolen and a handful of homeless folks from time to time who decide to camp out in the park or nearby areas, though they don't stay for long. The school sort of creates a buffer and most of the negative attributes of Aurora tend to steer clear, choosing a home nearby helps. Anything past 96th and Stone and it starts getting a bit weird.\n\nAs others have stated the farther you live from Aurora the better, though Interlake itself is fairly well insulated. I've seen the neighborhood improve a lot over the last 4 years. The recent crime outbreak and media attention is a bit of regression but overall I am hopeful the area will continue to improve, albeit it may be slower than what most hope for. From a personal note -  my immediate neighbors are some of the kindest folks I've ever met and was a factor in what pushed me to stay in the area vs relocating somewhere unfamiliar. This is a solid area if you are looking for a convenient spot that is located nearby to freeway/ public transport/ Greenlake for a non premium price point. My POV is purely from living east of Aurora. I have a friend who lives to the west of it and it seems that the crime spills over a lot more, especially north of 97th.","can_gild":false,"can_mod_post":false,"collapsed":false,"collapsed_because_crowd_control":null,"collapsed_reason":null,"collapsed_reason_code":null,"comment_type":null,"controversiality":0,"created":1780953040,"created_utc":1780953040,"distinguished":null,"downs":0,"edited":false,"gilded":0,"gildings":{},"id":"oqiw0w1","is_submitter":false,"likes":null,"link_id":"t3_1tgu0dp","locked":false,"mod_note":null,"mod_reason_by":null,"mod_reason_title":null,"mod_reports":[],"name":"t1_oqiw0w1","no_follow":true,"num_reports":null,"parent_id":"t3_1tgu0dp","permalink":"/r/SeattleWA/comments/1tgu0dp/review_on_licton_springs/oqiw0w1/","profile_img":"https://i.redd.it/snoovatar/avatars/8a0e47c2-f979-4f90-9f87-474990b77f8d-headshot.png","profile_over_18":false,"removal_reason":null,"replies":"","report_reasons":null,"retrieved_on":1780953075,"saved":false,"score":1,"score_hidden":false,"send_replies":true,"stickied":false,"subreddit":"SeattleWA","subreddit_id":"t5_2vbli","subreddit_name_prefixed":"r/SeattleWA","subreddit_type":"public","top_awarded_type":null,"total_awards_received":0,"treatment_tags":[],"unrepliable_reason":null,"ups":1,"user_reports":[]}]}
