The noise was really tough. Between the heavy freight/semi trucks, fire trucks, and police cars, not to mention the very convenient, very frequent, but very loud 120 route, it’s a lot. I also feel that the reputation regarding crime, etc, is warranted. Open-air drug deals and property were a regular occurrence, with occasional random violent crime (armed mugging, etc). For me, coming from a small town, it was culture shock. I live in a quieter part of West Seattle now and I’m much happier.
