It’s not an entertainment or nightlife hub by any means, but there are coffee shops and a smattering of bars and restaurants, and a great bookstore next door in Ravenna. A Whole Foods and a Safeway for groceries, plus Trader Joe’s and the weekly U District farmers market within about a mile. And you’ve got Ravenna Park on one side and Green Lake on the other. It’s not exciting, just a pleasant, calm place. And safe—like all post-pandemic Seattle neighborhoods we have some homelessness and behavioral-health issues and boarded-up storefronts, but it could be much much worse. \n\nFor commuting, it’s great because of the Roosevelt light rail station, which can have you in South Lake Union or Capital Hill within about 15 minutes.
