There isn't a grocery store particularly close (Pete's is fine if you just need an item or two in a pinch, I don't regularly shop there though). I have a car and am a Winco/Costco/occasional TJs person though so it honestly doesn't really bother me at all since I'd be driving anyways. Parking can be tough depending on what part of the neighborhood you're in. I'm on the north side (near ish to where it meets Portage Bay) and it's honestly not bad at all. I have a buddy who lives further south though (near the Eastlake market) and it's much tougher down there to street park.\n\nThe location is pretty fantastic. You're very central, while avoiding a lot of the hubbub of places like SLU, the UDistrict (used to live in both), Cap Hill, LQA, etc. I take the 70 to work downtown and it takes less than half an hour door to door.\n\nThere's a decent amount of things within a 15 min walk or so. Johnny Mo's up north is a fun pizza spot, the Zoo is a fine local bar, Le Fournil is a pretty good bakery, 14 Carrot is a good breakfast spot, and there's actually some pretty decent nicer dining. I'm a big fan of walking along the lake, and there's a bunch of cute little parks to sit at or launch kayaks/SUPs/whatever from in the summer.","can_gild":false,"can_mod_post":false,"collapsed":false,"collapsed_because_crowd_control":null,"collapsed_reason":null,"collapsed_reason_code":null,"comment_type":null,"controversiality":0,"created":1707190910,"created_utc":1707190910,"distinguished":null,"downs":0,"edited":false,"gilded":0,"gildings":{},"id":"kp4p70c","is_submitter":false,"likes":null,"link_id":"t3_1ajtyvs","locked":false,"mod_note":null,"mod_reason_by":null,"mod_reason_title":null,"mod_reports":[],"name":"t1_kp4p70c","no_follow":true,"num_reports":0,"parent_id":"t3_1ajtyvs","permalink":"/r/Seattle/comments/1ajtyvs/live_in_eastlake_how_do_you_like_it/kp4p70c/","removal_reason":null,"replies":"","report_reasons":[],"retrieved_on":1707190926,"saved":false,"score":5,"score_hidden":false,"send_replies":true,"stickied":false,"subreddit":"Seattle","subreddit_id":"t5_2qhad","subreddit_name_prefixed":"r/Seattle","subreddit_type":"public","top_awarded_type":null,"total_awards_received":0,"treatment_tags":[],"unrepliable_reason":null,"ups":5,"user_reports":[]}]}
