You either have to go to Burien or White Center.\n\nIts still technically ghetto-ish. Lots of gang activity on the main strip. \n\nTraffic can be a nightmare, especially if something fucky happens to the bridge or the highway. Either two and you get flooded with people trying to get into Seattle.\n\nThe river is polluted as fuck, don't swim or recreate in it.\n\nIt'll flood more and more in the future.\n\nThe Good: Fairly easy access into Seattle proper. If you commute for work, its pretty nice.\n\nLots of new buildings going up, so the future development of the area may change the rough and tumble scene.\n\n\nWhy are there new buildings there? A quirk to zoning has allowed townhomes to be developed with minimum push back from the city.
