It’s definitely a quiet neighborhood, as there is no other reason to go to it unless you live there. The neighborhood doesn’t really have its own parks or anything, their is a wild ravine by the school and you can access the school fields and playground when schools not in session. That’s it. Gated access to the beach, which you pay a couple hundred a year to have access. Beach disappears at high tide, but at lower tides can walk around the point to golden gardens, or right next door to the Blue ridge beach and I think can walk up to Carkeek. North Beach has a much more chill feel than Blue Ridge. Blue ridge is fancy and has its own private tennis courts, pool, park, bbq and picnic area by the beach etc. We still get the occasional bit of crime down here though from people walking through I guess, had to put in a locking mailbox as mail was getting stolen, car was stolen once, had the car ruffled through once or twice after forgetting  to lock it. Quick access to Carkeek and Golden Gardens but unless you walk at low tide on the beach you have to go up to the top of the hill then back down to get to either, so your probably driving. It’s a good neighborhood to go for a walk, but it’s not a walkable neighborhood in terms of walking to any kind of amenities. Have to drive. We really like it, but it was an adjustment as we moved from just 2 blocks north of Market street in Ballard. Hope this helps.","can_gild":true,"collapsed":false,"collapsed_because_crowd_control":null,"collapsed_reason":null,"collapsed_reason_code":null,"comment_type":null,"controversiality":0,"created_utc":1651563309,"distinguished":null,"edited":false,"gilded":0,"gildings":{},"id":"i74tcl3","is_submitter":false,"link_id":"t3_uha0ur","locked":false,"name":"t1_i74tcl3","no_follow":true,"parent_id":"t3_uha0ur","permalink":"/r/Seattle/comments/uha0ur/north_beach_neighborhood/i74tcl3/","retrieved_on":1655519765,"score":0,"score_hidden":false,"send_replies":true,"stickied":false,"subreddit":"Seattle","subreddit_id":"t5_2qhad","subreddit_name_prefixed":"r/Seattle","subreddit_type":"public","top_awarded_type":null,"total_awards_received":0,"treatment_tags":[],"unrepliable_reason":null,"ups":0}]}
