I lived there before the camps were as prolific. Our unit overlooked the park. Amazing walk score, elevator goes right into qfc, bus stop right outside the apartment. Great location, 15 min to downtown. Although the Ballard bridge is a bottleneck and the freeway is 15-20 min away. The apartment is otherwise well maintained, but be prepared to encounter tons of crime. Packages stolen all the time. Cars broken into. My cycle was stolen from the locked cage within the fob operated garage. I would wake up with the police siren lights illuminating my whole bedroom. Some guy would fly drones hovering around my living room window. My neighbor got flashed every morning. And this was while the park was still a park and not an encampment. Everytime I stepped out I'd have my pepper spray out. I had to watch the garage door close behind me like a hawk so someone doesn't sneak in.  The management was overwhelmed and completely useless when it came to addressing crime. \n\nI've also bought pizza for the homeless and had pleasant conversations. Some of them were good friends with the people in the building and hung out together. I've also gotten yelled at and intimidated when walking past.
