I've heard a few gunshots, there's occasional police activity, and some sketchy characters hanging out from time to time but I don't think there's as much crime as there is further south in Rainier Beach proper. You're close enough to Hillman City/Columbia City that the gentrification (of which I suppose I am a part) is starting to bleed over.
